(Root Canal Treatment)
A root canal is a dental procedure designed to save a badly decayed or infected tooth. It involves removing the inflamed or dead pulp (the soft tissue containing nerves and blood vessels inside the tooth), thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, and then sealing them to prevent future infections.

Most dentists will routinely carry out root canal treatment, however, complex cases are often better suited to being treated by an endodontists.

Dr Daniel Burns BDS, PgDip in Endodontics (merit)
Daniel Graduated with a BDS from the University of Dundee in 2012 and, in addition to providing a wide range of treatments, most recently completed a postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics with Merit in 2023. He has developed a strong interest in endodontics and is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, focused on preserving and restoring natural teeth.
